The year is 2026. Are you making a Star Fox inspired game? I want to play it. I want to support your Kickstarter. I want to edit a trailer. (I'd also like to voice a random background character but that's not a support thing I just think it would be neat)

Show me your game! I'll probably like it!
That seems like way too many games, but it's probably true.

Honestly bro, I'm pretty sure if you just agree to go away and never come back, the rest of the world might be way more willing to let it slide. It's at least worth giving it a shot.

Holding off on giving it a score until I can test an upcoming patch but as long as some stability/performance issues (on Switch 1) are ironed out Big Hops is fantastic. youtu.be/YnyQGXT9Go8

Apparently while I wasn't looking Avowed got a PS5 release date. You should play Avowed. Wound up being a top 5 if not top 3 game of 2025 for me.
Avowed is an obvious early contender for GOTY for me. Easily the most immediately engrossed in an Obsidian RPG I've ever been (and I've liked all of them).

Fun and funny characters, so many combat options, and a world that begs to be explored.

Every time I revisit Fire Emblem from before the 3DS era, I remember why that series was dying.

A personal favorite game of mine has caused @nwrdonald.bsky.social multiple years of trauma and I take great pride in that.
The 12th day of Christmas is apparently the 14th day of Festivus, because @nwrdonald.bsky.social has a lot of grievances to air - and you're gonna read them.

My friend had to message me late last night that he finally cracked it. Remember that sick opening to Toy Story 2? That scene is revealed to be a video game that looks amazing, but Rex is playing with a terrible controller? Rex has to be playing a BUZZ LIGHTYEAR FMV GAME, like Dragon's Lair!

This all feels so familiar. Legitimately bad dictator used (who people are glad is gone) being used as an excuse to make a move for resources. Tale as old as time.

I distinctly remember seeing these watermelons in Toy Story 2 for N64 and having this realization that a 3D model in a game could lie. It was fun to grow up with N64 and pick apart the tricks. Because what 8 year old isn't pondering flat fruit. To this day I get nostalgic for these kind of textures.

As the first person (probably) to finish Star Fox 64 in 2026, here is the standing high score. Let me know if you beat it.

I'll give the Analogue 3D credit for ALMOST being able to run Hybrid Heaven in high-resolution mode at a reasonable frame rate.

Anyway happy new year, let's avoid letting any power hungry evil organizations take over the US Government... Starting now.

It's not a flight-based rail-shooter but it IS a falling-with-style rail-shooter. I'm in.
Made a whole 50 level game for Xbox PlayStation and PC in 12 months. Thanks for supporting the journey this year it'll be out early 2026 but you can wish list it now

PEGI has Switch 2 ratings for every Switch 1 game that got a free Switch 2 upgrade. Splatoon 3 got one earlier this year. They forgot to set a date beyond the year so it defaulted to the last day of the year. This is normal. Please go about your business.

That Retro Studios interview makes the fact that Metroid Prime 4 is as overall good as it is pretty remarkable. Sounds like they were handed a dumpster fire and told they had to keep the dumpster and just put out the fire. Somehow they came out with average review score of like 8/10. Amazing.
