My cats are overall very well-behaved, like I can leave food on the table beside them and walk across the room and they won't touch it. But in my presence, they are brazen, like they'll walk across the desk in front of me and try to stick their face into the sandwich I am currently holding.

Every time the Star Wars movie list ranking shows up on my feed, I have to acknowledge two things:
1) I have no idea what the movie order is of the new trilogy from just their names
2) I don't remember anything from any of the new movies after 2005, even though I know I've seen them all

The McDonald's parking lot pics are AI, right? Why are they both staged exactly the same? Why are there so many expensive cars in the parking lot? Am I to believe they would set their food down on the ground? Who is taking the one where they're all standing, is that an above shot?? Why the cans?

I desperately wish for a weekend where I don't enter in total exhaustion and end up having to spend both days sleeping and recuperating so I can be functional for the work week.

The main reason I feel AI is dumb to use for creative arts beyond plagiarism is all forms whether it be art/writing/animation/etc is giving form to the thoughts/feelings in your mind. The skill/experience part is transferring it as exact and complete as possible & that will never happen with AI.

A couple years ago, as a favor, I did an interview with the kids of my sister's friend and their paper topic was "gaming is like an addiction" and I basically told them "lots of games, especially those with microtransactions/free to play/lootboxes are essentially just gambling."

I am aware I do not have much of a poker face, because I remember being in a real life conversation where someone brought up polymarket as a marker for popular sentiment and I couldn’t stop the sneer of disgust and recoil that I immediately did.

I'm almost done with the body of this. It's supposed to fit quite baggy and I'm adding a little more length because I like it a little longer. The patterns are so cute 😍

The breadth of knowledge/experience/skills/creativity lost sucks but it's also been a loss of truly kind hard-working individuals as well. It sucks a lot of the good parts of being a gamedev away as well. Many left out of necessity, not because of love lost for the craft.
The amount of people I know who have been laid off from games industry jobs and are deciding to leave games entirely as a result is not only extremely saddening (of course), but also genuinely scary. We have lost legitimately thousands of years of knowledge and experience in the last four years.
