JFC this isn't as good as Fedi is it.

Because 'running a box' is Fucking Awful and has been since, I don't know, 2010?

'% postfix start' = fine, reliable and safe s/w that you could leave along for years at a time.

'% docker --fucktasm --wankspanner wat' = It's stayed up for 10m! A new PB! Crivvens!

Fuck the lot of you.

Through hard work and not a little peril, you finally own the house of your dreams. You wake with a hangover in an unfamiliar room. Everything wants to kill you.
So this plumber eats mushrooms to fight evil turtles to rescue a princess.

Kincade. Thank you. Yes, that's the blighter. Absolutely lowest-common crypto-fash art product.

I don't think people have, as yet, fully grasped the likely societal impact of the fact that generations of women, LGBTQ+ folk and others have suffered, and have simmered with anger, and now, thanks to the Epstein files, we don't just have the abstract concept of patriarchy to blame - we have names.

.. and then because I'm looking for fresh garage doors to photograph, I end up exploring all sorts of alleys and back ways and finding other stuff besides.

It's an improv 'yes! and!' approach, I think.

I mean, it's an example of a thing that helped during the lockdowns here.

So, um, I struggle with anxiety, to the extent that when I'm in a bad state, randomly deviating from The Path (to work or the shop or...) is too much. It's limiting and horrible.

I gave myself art projects: 'go photograph garage doors and put them on the internets daily' f'rinstance. It helps (1/2)

Honestly, I feel like the Ableton people were like three Club Mates into some squat-techno afterparty and went 'What if, right, what if we made it really easy to fiddle about with random kit and make weird skronk music, instead of it being system admin?'

I keep thinking I should reply, but all the words I have sound smug and unhelpful.

Dumpster. Although the dimensions and handling kit are quite different.

There's no point trying to give ground to extremists to make them happy. Their lives are dedicated not only to making others miserable, but to the endless pursuit of unhappiness for themselves.

It seems impossible to appease campaign group Sex Matters
In April 2025, Sex Matters – the UK’s most prominent gender-critical campaign group – declared a win, but the fight seems far from over

I am sad to report that it is Fucking Trivial to sound like a vintage Funker Vogt and I am going to be making dreadful futurepoop noises and giggling to myself for the rest of the month.

Oh noes.

... I should have put the 'I don't have a soundcloud..' post here, I guess. Hey ho. I am editing a story and have no brains left.
February 3, 2026 at 4:23 PM
I don't have a soundcloud (I have a mixcloud instead), but I do have a story in this fine anthology.
With stories by Danie Ware, Juliet McKenna, Anna Smith Spark and many others, Fight Like A Girl #2 has been a feature on award short lists this year. Find out why people love it so much:

A conceptual version of Ballard's Zodiac 2000 and a Sevs thing I half remember names 'Lives of the saints'.

Oh. Fuck. EMF art project hello yes.
February 3, 2026 at 2:04 PM
... And if that's not me participating in some weird postmodernist/Ballardian version of keeping saint's remains in a glass box and parading them through the streets on the anniversary of a moon landing ... then I don't know what.
