I thought the same thing while reporting this story! The experts/gun owners I spoke with were very united in their meticulous adherence to gun safety rules (and honestly seemed borderline insulted by this example)

I don’t usually cover breaking news, but this story is truly wild.

A pastor in central PA brought an AR-15 to church and pointed it at people during his sermon. Gun safety experts and internet commentators are, predictably, not happy!

Dauphin County pastor under fire for pointing assault-style rifle during sermon
In a move experts called a serious safety violation, he pointed the unloaded weapon at churchgoers, while asking for a 'violent action of faith.'

The Dauphin County Prison Board recommended the county choose between PrimeCare & Wellpath for the jail’s healthcare
There is a wild disconnect with board members trusting an audit that found P was ok at DCP but recommending two of the lowest ranked bidders

In recommending healthcare provider, Dauphin County Prison board ignores consultant rankings
The board suggested the county hire one of two providers despite questions about misconduct and ethics.

BREAKING: Dauphin County just released a recording of the 911 call from firebomber suspect Cody Balmer following the arson attack on Gov. Shapiro’s residence.

Read the story for deets on what he says and a link to the recording:

911 call reveals suspected firebomber’s list of grievances against Gov. Shapiro: Listen here
In an erratic 911 call, the suspect also mentioned his daughters, Palestinian people and the alleged killing of someone he identified only as “Manny.”

His statements about Palestine were said during a call to 911, according to the warrant. So maybe it seems sudden because we didn’t know anything about that call before now? But I agree there are a lot more questions that need to be answered here. Hoping more details will emerge in the coming days
