Literally just had a conversation with friends about modern films and tv feeling “perfectly fine” but rather bland and forgettable. And tv shows feeling overlong with extended scenes and the story barely progressing in their 40 minute episodes.

Research is so weird dude. You start with an idea, research it only to discover plenty of wrong assumptions you had about the subject, stray into directions you never expected to get into, and at some point you stop and you’re like “what was I here for again? What was the original point of this?”
