A reader, and endlessly curious, which drives me nuts.
A nice bloke, if I had friends they would tell you.
👎Not for me,👍I like this,👍👍 Love this
I wish Netflix would give me the MEH option, which is my ratings for most things I watch.

I was looking at them all lined up behind the moron and wondering how come the tech people are all so malleable and sycophantic?
January 24, 2025 at 9:56 PM
"Radical leftists" I've no idea what Americans think that is.
I think they think it's communism, bless.
Their government of the people by the people, for the people..is really a government of the lobbyists by the lobbyists for the lobbyists.

I saw all the films on the Nom list apart from A.C.U and The Brutalist,
If I had a vote, & I should
Anora would be my choice, or The Substance, maybe Conclave
2024 was a good year for cinema.
Yeah Anora for me even thou Dune 2 was also brilliant
OK this is why I don't have a vote

I'm old enough when I believed the internet was going to make the World a better place, and maybe it might have, if it wasn't for the tech billionaires.
Govs 'could have' regulated but now. more or less, the tech billionaires have become the regulators

My controversial take is Tom Welling was the best Superman.

As a European looking in, it seems to me POTUS has too much power, didn't the founding fathers in drafting the constitution try to prevent this?
Now with media technology, the one with the media focus, such as the president, has disproportionately more power.
I can't see a way out of this.

Watching American Primeval - like reading Blood Meridian - does help you understand why the country is totally fucking nuts.

"Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity."

Ireland should put a bid in for Greenland, we would rename it the other emerald Isle.
January 8, 2025 at 7:47 AM
Wondering what would happen if the moron acquires Greenland, and Panama, will this kickstart another scramble for colonies, I'm sure China would like some parts of Africa or some more Pacific Islands.
How will the Europeans react, they couldn't stand idly by.
January 7, 2025 at 9:37 PM
America owning Greenland is actually a nightmare for the World, what new industrial ways will capitalism rape that sensitive a vital land for the World's climate?

Biden should have made a bigger deal of January 6th than he did. This was a huge mistake in his administration.

So here's the question, who is more powerful, the democraticly elected PM of the UK, or a billionaire, if it is the latter, how did we get here, and more importantly, how do we get out of this situation.

I had to google what "craft services" was, yeah, I imagine they are vital to any production, Golden Globes.

This is a wonderful book, I first started the Audible version, but when I listened to the poetic high-quality prose I bought the Kindle version as well, I am now reading while using the Audible Companion, it's like being at a brilliant lecture. I will never see the natural World the same way again

It's funny, people throughout history people who staged a failed insurrection ended up imprisoned or dead, but America voted their insurrectionist President.
WTF has happened to the USA

Clash of the Titans the 2010 version Netflix, the original was my favourite film as a kid, I remember going to the cinema with mighty expectations & coming out deflated.
So here we go again, the first thing I notice now is that it has quite a cast and Ralph Fiennes is Voldemort in the form of Hades
