Hi, new Bluesky followers! Three things to know about me:
1) I'm working on a MG graphic novel for @madcavestudios.bsky.social/Papercutz with @maxbare.bsky.social that's going to be fantastic, in several ways.
2) In 2013 I wrote the hottest Star Wars comic of Dec. 2020.
3) Also, I do PR for Nintendo
I'm sorry, but our princess is in another castle. No biggie, though! Really appreciate the effort!

Crazy to think I used to go to SDCC and NOT FILE STORIES from the show. I was just taking stuff back to Congers for next month's issue!

I miss many things about it. (And there's an almost equally long list of things I very much do not miss about it.)

The most "20-year-old English major"-ass lede on this thing possible.
As discussed on our recent episode, here's the multi-page ad for Inferno: Hellbound by @topcowofficial.bsky.social from Wizard issue 121. Shout out to @justinaclin.com for the Wizard News write-up!

Great but spoilery piece. Says a lot of what I was trying to say (at newsletter.justinaclin.com/p/a-carol-co...) and more, but much more eloquently. This show contains multitudes.

Okay, so...

Now we're talking. The 100 cartoons list was one of my first experiences fighting it out in an editorial meeting.

When I first saw Everything Everywhere All At Once, there's a moment maybe a third of the way through where I realized what it was all about, and from that moment on I never stopped crying even when I was laughing hysterically.

imagine watching this and not thinking that this is the whole goddamn reason to even *have* America
Best TikTok thing going is the two dudes trying food from every country without leaving NYC. If you haven’t seen them yet, it’s incredible. My favorite so far is last week’s. Legit got me emotional.

For all that the media has spent years freaking out about what social media does to our brains, I don’t understand why there appears to be little effort to grapple with the fact that these chatbots are, for some not insignificant portion of the population, literally psychosis machines
