Trump claims the US is in “armed conflict with Latin American drug cartels,” using this vague claim to justify his assassinations.
Some in Congress, which has the sole authority to declare war & has not formally authorized the use of force in this instance, have pushed back against Trump’s claims.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei made the remarks in a statement on Tuesday, addressing the [Israeli] regime’s outright transgressions throughout the day that had killed and wounded at least 10 Palestinians across the coastal sliver.

This admin RELIES on news media outlets to spread its false propaganda.

Refusing to give them this free coverage is a serious blow — to them!

Make T’s admin PAY to spread propaganda.
🛑 giving them free, unfettered access to the PUBLIC AIRWAVES.

After-all, the airwaves technically belong to us!
justpeace4all.bsky.social
Given how this administration lies at every turn, “access” means little anyway.

Better to actually be the non-embedded, unbiased, “check and balance” on power that the press was intended to be.

- It deprives Americans of truth. The public’s right to know how our military operates (especially in matters of war, spending, and policy) would be severely weakened.
- It risks creating state-approved media. When only “authorized” information is allowed, journalism becomes propaganda.

- It restricts investigative journalism. Reporters could lose credentials for pursuing stories that don’t fit the official narrative.
- It limits public accountability. Without reporters asking hard questions, misconduct and waste could go unchecked.

Why signing this policy would be dangerous:
- It undermines press freedom. The government shouldn’t decide what information the public can or can’t know, that’s the role of a free press.
- It sets a chilling precedent. Once one agency can silence independent reporting, others can follow.

The policy requires journalists to agree to limits on how they report and access information, something all the organizations say violates First Amendment protections and places unreasonable curbs on press freedom.

If Venezuela summarily assassinated citizens from our nation, violated our sovereignty, violated international law, we would immediately declare war on that nation.

State-sanctioned assassinations and simultaneous destruction of evidence: under Trump, our nation is a brazenly lawless nation.

This is the fifth reported strike by U.S. forces since Sept against vessels killing 27 people, the Trump admin says. It has not disclosed evidence verifying that the vessels were carrying drugs, that the people aboard them were confirmed criminals or which country they came from.

Major news outlets are standing together and refusing to sign. ABC News, CBS News, CNN, Fox News, and NBC News have all rejected a new Pentagon policy that would impose unprecedented restrictions on news gathering.

This vile, politically-motivated, murderous use of our military follows Senate Republicans’ narrow defeat of a measure to prevent the administration’s actions on legal grounds.

GOP, as active accomplices to murder, you allow an egregious dishonor to fall on our military.

Trump assassinates more people boating near Venezuela

Trump claims, again

—without any evidence—

“drug smuggling” as his justification for these extrajudicial executions.

No one should assume these murdered people violated any laws.

And even those who smuggle drugs are entitled to due process.

Recent UK government figures have shown hate crimes against Muslims are up by nearly a fifth, after figures earlier this year revealed Islamophobic assaults surged by 73% in 2024.

The research, which was conducted between October 2023 and September 2025, also raises questions over the censorship of public office holders, violations against journalists, civil society and academic freedom in the UK, France, Germany and the US.
