Figured out the pipeline for getting to know new interesting people in VR Chat:
- look out for groups that have their own Discord server
- join those Discord servers to know about events in advance
-join events and get to know people

At first I hesitated registering for Furality thinking "Well, a part of why I visit furcons is to see friends I wouldn't see otherwise, but I already can see everyone in VR so what's the point?" Creating this kind of inviting vibe is the point I guess.

3 weeks ago I was at #ibercon. Was my first con where I didn't have any friends attending it and was a bit afraid I would feel lonely, especially with the con being mostly Spanish/Portuguese. А lot of the events were indeed in Spanish, but I did have a good time and got to know lots of new furries.
