It SEEMS awesome because YES, emotionally, this is what we want.
But... It's going to make it much, much harder for people to report abuse.
Also, considering how Trans People are being accused of "Grooming" for being in the proximity of children, this opens up some really fucked up possibilities

As a child protection professional, I can tell you the death penalty is NOT an awesome solution to child sexual abuse. Most children are abused by family members; they will not report if their family members will die as a result.

No reason other than this song popped into my head and this scene is actually a good one for Valentine's Day. I guess it has spoilers but also the movie is 25 years old, so maybe the statute of limitations has run out on that (also see the film, it's delightful)

I'd love to direct a version of "We Have Always Lived in the Castle". I did enjoy the more recent version but its not quite what I'd do.
Aesthetically and tonally I'd take cues from "Let's Scare Jessica to Death" without the overt horror elements.

A scientist & a couple people with psychic abilities go to a haunted house to prove or disprove the existence of ghosts, better hope they don't! The amount of bickering & yelling between them would be enough to make the ghosts want them dead, not just scared!
