I am thinking that this is like the film "Bonfire of the Vanities." A story very popular among people who make films, but not anyone else, so it failed. Tron is the scifi equivalent. That, and That Guy's in it. You'd think they'd learn from Mobius about hiring That Guy. But here we are.

I remember seeing it in the theater. It was a spectacle to behold. But I don't really remember much of it beyond the special effects. The plot wasn't very memorable. I didn't even remember the cast until you mentioned them.

Yes. I've gotten in touch with people I've wanted to meet in person but couldn't because of distance, and other constraints. And, I'm in touch with some old friends I'd lost contact with in other spaces. That is the good side of social media.

On the forecast track, the center of Priscilla is expected to move parallel to, but offshore of, the coast of Baja California Sur through Thursday. Maximum sustained winds are near 105 mph (165 km/h) with highergusts. Additional weakening is expected for the next few days. Hurricane-force winds extend outward up to 45 miles (75 km) fromthe center and tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 195miles (315 km). A weather station on Socorro island, located about 155 miles (250 km) south-southeast of Priscilla's eye, recently reported a wind gust of 36 mph (57 km/h). The estimated minimum central pressure is 962 mb (28.41 inches). Thisrainfall could bring a risk of flash flooding, especially in areasof higher terrain. Moisture from Priscilla should bring 1 to 2inches of rain, with local amounts to 4 inches, to portions ofwest-central Mexico, which could lead to flash flooding within thearea’s terrain. I used to manage my Dad's finances after my mother passed. (He's now passed too.) Every couple of weeks there'd be some new scam thrown at him, and he was a trusting soul wanting to send them money. I'd look it over, and refuse. There's no one in their lives to help them say "No." That's horrible.

The neighborhood is weirdly loud tonight and it's nearly midnight. Lots of steady whirring sounds. Hard to tell where it's coming from with the canyons. It's not aircraft, those would get louder, and softer as they go over. It's just odd.
The owls don't seems to mind, I hear them calling, too.
