This is so sad. We won't have educators to teach our children if this attack on education continues. Family and Consumer Sciences leads to valuable careers in 351 occupations across 215 industries. It's about time we refocused on value and results l, not enrollment numbers.

That's shockingly common. But I'm sure Jackie learned from her mistake, thats what FCS classes are for. We just need more of them and more kids to get access to them.

The real impact of shortsighted policy decisions, children lose out.

Support FCS.
My wife is a teacher and her department is starting the year without the grant they were supposed to receive from the federal government. This is supposed to pay for the supplies they use to teach a variety of family and consumer science classes.

So that's how my Tuesday has been going so far.

That's horrible, so sorry to hear that.

Most educators have kicked off their school year and already they're feeling the pressure. Thank a teacher and pay it forward to our children.

Family and Consumer Sciences includes many of those occupations and many many more. While I agree those working as educators are underpaid, other occupations in FCS attract much higher salaries, let's work together to promote all FCS occupations within the FCS Industry.
