This wave hopefully crashes over and engulfs these 3 prompting a snap election when the RSB is determined in late September 2025.

Toitū Te Tiriti! Honour the Treaty.
A #cartoon from late last year.
Winston Peters, PM Luxon, and David Seymour, architect of the Treaty Principles Bill, about to be swamped.

thanks, from my limited knowledge, I can't tell the difference.

#WhatVegansEat #VeganCooking #VeganFood #Kai Homemade leek and potato soup with toast. I use all of the leek and then I caramelise it, so it makes a huge amount of soup but the flavour is incredible. I have to use a very large soup pot. It's soup I'd defrosted and reheated. Bagels a p butter. Yum!!

100 %. I always think of the vomit I have seen over the years in my professional life and this colour comes to mind.

And yet within the Aotearoa right wing political parties there is easily accessible and ubiquitous corruption /violence/conflicts of interest everywhere, so Te Pati Maori would have to go a few significantly more fathoms deeper to even begin to enter the depths that ACT and National daily swim in.

That song, was always playing when my Dad drove us from Otautahi to Otepoti to see relatives. In my head this is the "Otepoti song". I can relate to what you have said. Toxic masculinity and drinking culture is a time bomb for so many people.
kasiazoe.bsky.social
Its just the toxic drinking culture sung by blokes which is always kind of semi threatening to a young queer woman in 1980s Aotearoa, that is why I don't like it. But for music, there is a lot of Dave Dobbyn's songs that I love.

Was that Hello Sailor? I like that one. Its just the - I don't know what instrument it is in Gutter Black, but that instrument, ?sax? that annoys the shite out of me. And the chorus, just no thanks.
kasiazoe.bsky.social
I liked Joni Mitchell when doing so was dangerous in the late 80's. Rock and jazz flute, which is "an acquired taste". It is all relative.

I know, I should hand in my passport now. Tres unpatriotic.
kasiazoe.bsky.social
Being a licensed health professional and being a health "economist" is a vaaast conflict of interest. He should be significantly more honest and just call himself an economist.
kasiazoe.bsky.social
A song I cannot stand is the chaos that is Hello Sailor's Gutter Black, and also Th' Dudes Bliss. Both of these songs make me ashamed of my nation.

Hang on, aren't you saying that the EV mechanic is the hand that isn't covered in oil and diesel soot? That is what the post is saying....
kasiazoe.bsky.social
How would that work for brown and black folk who are EV mechanics?

Are burgers for breakfast "breakfast sandwiches" in America?
I come from Aotearoa where anything between a round bun and is savoury is called a burger within all meal time zones. I like where you've gone for breakfast culinarily.

Absolutely more double standards from Israehell.

Today's predictable news that will surprise nobody, and won't be mentioned by any of our local news media reporting.😒
If you can't get your head around what is happening, this is the Israeli version of Australia's 501 deportations, but without any criminal convictions.😡

‘Inhumane’: 154 freed Palestinian prisoners forced into exile by Israel
Palestinian families awaiting return of imprisoned relatives are shocked to learn they will be deported.

People and businesses who thought they had it bad during Covid are finding out how it is during bad times when the government actually does abandon you. The differences couldn't be more stark #NZPol

Two years since the 2023 election. If you want a really long read, chronologically tracking all the different attacks on nature by the Luxon Govt... well this is it! Luxon’s War on Nature Timeline www.greenpeace.org/aotearoa/sto...

ages. And better, as I'm an auditory learner, there are even full cast (a play told by a cast in audio) audiobooks available from my local library so the worlds I'll have by audiobook will be even more diverse, interesting, complex, sophisticated, nuanced and deep to enjoy and learn from. I'm lucky.

A world has opened up for me in audiobooks. I find it hard to read due to chronic illness reasons, but I have finally started an audiobook, and it's good, The absolutely true diary of a part-time Indian, by Sherman Alexie. I am discovering other worlds again, something that's been not available for

David Seymour is looking untypically festive but typically toxic. A Blue Light Disco nightmare from the 80s.

Dude in grocery store goes “Some common sense advice: masks don’t do anything. Idiot.” I said “Forgive me for not taking ‘common sense advice’ from a guy wearing socks with Crocs in the rain.” I could tell by his face he’s gonna go to sleep tonight thinking about everyone on line laughing.

I remember being 17 yrs old and my principle said "appressiate" instead of apreshiate, to a hall full of Cashmere and Lower Cashmere folk. I still cringe when I hear people say "appressiate". I guess she was en pointe for half of her audience.

Is it ever ok to call someone who is named Stephen, Steeph? (as in Steve) or do I call them Steph? Where's the slippery slope here? Because there is sure to be one hiding somewhere.
