An important side note about today's Epstein/Trump revelations.
They show that Todd Blanche's questioning of Maxwell was either (a) completely incompetent; or (b) intentionally crafted not to elicit facts incriminating Trump.
Either way, he is not fit to serve as Deputy Attorney General.

Incredible that Republicans refuse to expand the ACA subsidies but always manage to slip in some cushy little benefits for themselves.

Did you know that the government funding bill has a provision that forces the DOJ to give millions in taxpayer money to at least 8 Republican Senators investigated after the Jan 6 insurrection? Not exaggerating. And when I proposed an amendment last night to stop it, House Republicans voted it down.

They would know. But like all authoritarian regimes, this one too will fail. And when it does, no more status quo. We know what we have to change now so it can’t happen again. We start with making sure that the people who destroyed our democracy pay a heavy price as a deterrent to future bad actors.

Thinking about this today amid reports that federal datasets are disappearing on everything from disease to labor statistics to inflation.
While I'm definitely worried about the negative impacts of the next administration, I'm more worried about the cover-up of the impact data. Recall that Trump did everything he could to hide COVID data.
