Excellent piece about ALL THE OTHER KILLINGS
Something you won't hear about on national news. Two people killed by Border Patrol in a vehicle chase. Just one example of the everyday violence of the border. maxgranger.substack.com/p/breaking-b...

The 2025 shootings of Minnesota legislators were treated far too lightly. Media and the public moved on too fast without grasping the seriousness of assassination. These are life and death issues, not just differences of opinion the USA is working out. The reactionary right is ready to kill.

Just a beautiful, thoughtful, courageous human in every way. Note especially that at the close of the interview she brings the focus back to the *immigrants* who have been targeted, killed, kidnapped, abandoned, orphaned and forsaken. Gratitude and respect for Stella Carson.

Judge William Young also issued his long-awaited judgment in the case, which covers every noncitizen member of the two leading plaintiff organizations.

First, he vacates the enforcement policy. And second, he gives future ideological targets a right to quickly go to court.
NEW: Docs unsealed tonight show the official reasoning DHS sent to the State Dept. recommending that Mahmoud Khalil, Rumeysa Ozturk, Mohsen Mahdawi, Badar Khan Suri and Yunseo Chung be deported.

Marco Rubio signed off, despite warnings by DHS that their findings looked like protected speech.

It’s not so much that Trump & co don’t think slavery was important, they want to remove this history precisely *because* of how important it was. They don’t want people to learn about slavery because then people would understand how it continues to shape the landscape of inequality in America today.
Signs about the history of slavery in the U.S. and the 9 people George Washington enslaved are being removed right now at the President’s House Site in Philadelphia, across from Independence Hall, months after the Trump administration threatend to do so.

How far we have not come in 250 years.

🚨HOLY CRAP. An ICE whistleblower just revealed a secret memo authorizing ICE officers to break into homes without a judicial warrant, which DHS's own legal training materials say is unconstitutional!

ICE then hid the memo from the public, passing it along by word of mouth and private conversation.

If you live in the Cities, an easy way to help immigrant families in hiding is: laundry! Laundromats are ICE magnets, so people without washers need help.

The People’s Laundry will drop off laundry to your door to wash and dry and pick up a few days later:
