Seen some folks asking about lawyers who help federal employees so:

1. obviously, you can call us. we'll try to fit you in considering ~everything~

2. go to MWELA.org. that's the plaintiff's employment bar association in the DMV. go to NELA.org nationally. search for lawyers who do federal work.
Send Help is a masterpiece.

No joke, might be my new favorite movie. Full stop.

Sam Raimi, you beautiful fellow MSU-alum: Well done, sir.

There's a guy in our building who spends an occasional weeknight getting high off his ass and riding the elevator up and down for hours trying to meet as many dogs as possible.

Say what you will but I would honestly miss that dude if we moved.

Convo I've had to have at least half-a-dozen times in the past two weeks:

Doc: "So what brings you in today?"

Me: "I fell on my face."

I'll go ahead and brush my shoulder off.
Per Virginia Lawyers Weekly, the $7.25M verdict that @katieherrmann.bsky.social and I litigated last May was the second highest jury verdict in Virginia in 2025.

I'll take it.

I grew up with Alex Pretti
The kind-hearted ICU nurse shot by ICE agents was my childhood best friend.

He doesn't have to hear the very pointed way my mom says, "I see Josh posted something on Facebook."
once every six months or so I’ll post something of Facebook even though the fascist algo over there always kills any engagement. anyway, posted this tonight.

Well.

The mural and memorial were intenionally trashed, for sure.

I won't describe or post pics because fuck whoever did it.

To that person: I bet even ICE rejected you. Maybe you'll win them over with your next impotent rage-fueled tantrum, you bigoted loser. Doubt it.
The mural has since been destroyed

She loves water, but not in all forms.

Poor girl. We've had some long walks that covered some pretty short distances today.

So, Tik Tok is completely busted now, right?

My best source for all things Tik Tok (my sister) lives in Canada and doesn't know what gives.

CBP chief Bovino has confirmed that the officers who executed Alex Pretti in the street yesterday are not only *not on administrative leave,* they have all been reassigned to other jurisdictions and are all on the street today.

This is totally unheard of for any officer-involved shooting

Many folks here watched footage of a good man being murdered today.

I feel anger toward the guilty, disgust for the depravity, sorrow for the present, and fear for the future.

My heart feels heavy for everyone whose life he touched. For all of the helpers.

It is OK to not be OK.

Take care.

I was one of Alex's nursing faculty at MCTC. This is simply devastating. He was a good student and I knew he'd be a good nurse. Im so sorry for you and his VA family. May his memory be a blessing and an example of what a nurse is.

Pretti’s last words were, reportedly, “are you ok?”
They murdered Good and Pretti, a poet and a nurse, one whose last words were “I’m not mad,” another whose last act was shielding another. Because of course that’s who they killed. Everyday people.

I'm sorry for the person who was beat to death and killed. My sincere condolences to their loved ones. ICE is going to continue to kill people because the purpose of a system is what it does. It is not what it says it does or what you hope it does. Maybe USians will finally confront this truth.

All of this is fucking senseless. Minnesota did not have an immigration problem. Trump sent his Nazi thugs here because he's racist against Somali people and to own libs like Tim Walz. Now two Minnesotans are dead and Minneapolis is on the verge of going up in flames. None. Of. This. Was. Necessary.
