Catherine Connolly secured the first preference votes of 914,143 people — the most of any Irish politician ever.
She is the 10th Uachtarán na hÉireann and, when inaugurated on November 11, will take her place in the annals of history.

Current suicide prevention systems are designed to respond to diagnosis, not distress. Our systems consistently leave behind people and experiences existing outside of "illness".
