Re-starting Death Stranding after falling off it a few hours in many years ago, and it is giving my brain just the right chemicals right now. Also, like MGSV, you can actually skip through the opening hours and get to the game much more effectively than you'd think for Kojima.

Watched the first season of Slayers with Spyda which was a good call because alone we both probably would have dropped it by the halfway point. It's fiiiiine, it's charming, and occasionally pretty funny, and uses its budget to good effect, it's just a bit of Seinfeld Is Unfunny, in TVTropes terms.

This past week I've gotten pretty good about picking up a novel (mostly Terry Pratchett so far) any time I would have watched Youtube videos on my phone, and I think I'm feeling happier and healthier for it. Haven't got the hang of timing my teeth-brushing to it yet, though.

Thinking about the ending of Ghost of Yotei and... vague but big spoilers. I think they ran out of time and had to make cuts, but also that the open world format where there's hundreds of side quests and NPCs means nothing that really changes Atsu can happen until the signposted point of no return.

Coincidentally finished the two games that took up the most space on PS5 back to back, excepting Baldur's Gate 3 which I'll probably never delete, so... screw it, I guess that's as good a way to approach a backlog as any. Think of all the room I'll have to add more games to it!!

Team Ninja was truly one of the most American Japanese developers. And nothing ever reflected that like how in one game, characters would wear a skimpy bikini (but never even CONCEIVE of showing nipples) and go "Tee-hee. This is too much, but... I hope sensei likes it~" and in another they do this.

Lately the fan on my laptop is running almost constantly, although the laptop itself isn't getting that overheated... but it also does that when Windows downloads updates and it started right around when they started releasing updates to fix their updates every goddamn day.

60 hours into Ghost of Yotei and I just discovered that when sitting at your campfire you can use the touchpad to make Atsu poke at it with a stick. Good stuff.

Legit curious whether the majority of people who get off to nude mods in games headcanon that the character is a nudist or simply don't think about it. Because it drove me CRAZY how Lara in Tomb Raider 2014 refused to loot a jacket off anybody and I would just be thinking about that the whole time.

I don't like how much of Minecraft, Subnautica, Valheim and many other crafting/survival type games consists of finding places to store things and making notes reminding yourself where you put them, but I can't argue with the fact that WOULD be a big part of your life in that situation.
