Dull
It’s been a messy weekend; yesterday I played with air drying clay and today I’ve commando-crawled under my bed and pulled everything out to sort it out *sneezes dust elephants*

Went to a local theatre to see a version of Little Women last night which was lovely but jeez I have trouble staying awake past ten and I definitely need to be in bed at least an hour earlier at the mo. I have no idea how I had the energy to do (sometimes multiple) mid-week gigs a few years ago.

It's been a very quiet week.
As a small business owner that’s a bit scary heading into my busy season.

So, if you're looking for unique #Christmas gifts, I make prints, homewares, cards & accessories inspired by midcentury design, music & architecture.

It’s hard to believe but there was a cartoon about an immigrant mouse and it was seen as totally fine and not controversial and not woke because it was an aspirational and nice thing about America that people could come here and find a better life

I really am rethinking this adult malarkey. Whom do I speak to to withdraw my membership?

Walking up the stairs in Home Sense yesterday and I winced as I stepped, saying “ohh, left hip, right knee” as they were both playing up and my daughter piped up from behind me “You’ve just sunk my battleship” because clearly she thinks she’s hilarious and now she’s living in the shed.

Morning. Hope everyone’s not up to too much mischief. These last few weeks have been spent doing horribly long working hours and my boiler went pop on Tuesday. It’s all covered under warranty but the parts won’t be here until Monday. Thank fuck it’s not freezing and the work situation ends today.

I’ll tell it now quickly. It paints me in a very good light, I’m sorry to say, but I just sent a text. So when the Caron Keating #TOTP was shown on BBC Four, I texted Gloria and said that they’d shown it and sent her the link. Gloria rings and says “can you get it on a DVD for me?”. “I’ll try”.

Woken up by a 1am missed call from someone I haven’t spoken to in months and months, or actually seen in over a year. Random.

FFS, I’m not ignoring anyone, I’m just plucking up the courage to do a selfie and frighten the bejesus out of it with my best Patrick Moore expression. If this place goes down, it was probably me.

So today on my day off I intended to catch up with all the washing, complete my appraisal forms, change my bedding and mow the lawn. Instead I’ve done two loads of washing, slept for three hours and watched loads of Dexter.

Day off but I popped into work this morning to pick up my laptop and SOMEONE HAS USED MY CHAIR. Then left it wedged against a box so I had to do parkour to get to my desk. No jury and all that, yes?

Went to a gig on a school night, walked silly steps, bounced and sang and now I think I may need a new hip (and also possibly some new knees). Loved it. Thank god I’ve booked tomorrow off work.

Who the hell wakes up at what they think is their usual 3am, but transpires is only 11:35pm on the same day they fell asleep and what should they do that doesn’t cost loads of money and isn’t housework now that they’re wide awake?

Certain celebrity deaths are harder to process than others because the person in question was so full of life and creativity and originality that you just assume it's never going to end.

The biggest spider I’ve seen in years just walked across my bedroom floor so if anyone’s after a pony for their child to ride on, I’ll see if I can shoo it out from under my bed because it’s plenty big enough.
