Brisk walk to the gym and brisk walk home … so nice to enjoy temps above freezing and no wind! Sun shining, birds singing. 😃 🌞

Industrial heat is one of the hardest parts of the energy transition.

This sand battery is now delivering fossil-free heat for industry, storing renewable electricity as high-temperature heat and releasing it when needed. Simple idea, big impact.

Our family cat had a name (Shere Khan) and we kids called him that but dad always called him Mr. Cat. That took over. When the elderly Mr. Cat went to the vet for the final time, my dad (retired Marine colonel) saluted him and said “so long, Old Man”. He loved Mr. Cat.

Well, the amusing part was fun! Now back to the repetitive part. Imagining a hat go with it will help! (I bought extra yarn for that.) #knitsky #knitting 🧶

Just so you know, a concentration camp is in the works for eastern PA.

The system emerges from the participants. If the motivation is human and civil rights for all, then justice emerges. #resistance #democracy

Howling wind makes it feel like -15F! My favorite farm stand is closed 😭 so I’ve joined everyone doing their Saturday thing at the co-op. It’s kind of festive, actually! 😁 #weather #foodcooperative

Hey friends! Do you love #furoshiki or what? I’m not picky, just love squares of designed cloth that one can use different ways. “Mmmm, pretty! And useful!”

Hubby and I dressed up (as much as we ever do, I guess) to take the commuter rail into Center City #Philly for dinner to celebrate his birthday. The train was cancelled 😱! So we walked to a local fave. Knitting played a big role in my idea of “dressing up”, lol!

I couldn’t agree more. Haven’t we learned anything in the last 10 years?

The communication effect of the image is far faster and more powerful than the words one types to condemn it. Two different parts of the brain. He *wants* outrage, it makes being rational more difficult.

I think the purge at #WaPo may backfire. That former institution was already wobbling and ready to collapse. True journalists who know their role in a democracy will find each other and find a way. I think it’s already happening. Watch where they go (have gone) and support them.

I believed his assignment is a) punish WaPo per his boss Trump, and b) focus on pushing propaganda in the US per Trump’s boss, Putin.

I had a busy week helping family deal with “stuff”. Not as much knitting as I would like but this is definitely a project that stands up to interruptions, ha ha! Just got home and getting close to the amusing part of the project … 😁 #knitting #knitsky 🧶

Encouraging others to change their minds … nonviolence.
Thousands of Minnesotans gathered outside hotels where ICE and Border Patrol have been staying to sing to them, encouraging agents to quit and stop the ICE terror on their streets.

While I agree that it’s the most corrupt administration in American history, we have played a role with our lack of ongoing activism. We have constantly been shocked when they shattered “norms”. We trusted mainstream news sources well after they were corrupted. I include myself. Never again.

We’re told that there’s no verified/ credible/ public evidence against Trump. Yet we are also told there are images of death, physical abuse, injury.

Sounds to me like whoever is at the top has a message for the men whose names are visible. If you don’t toe the line, evidence will be made public.

A good time to support your local food bank, pantry, or free fridge however you can. They might be swamped. 😞
