Finally got to see the film Spooks: The Greater Good. Damn good film. It should stand on its own without having seen the TV series, but it is richer for having that background.

Peter Firth was, of course, brilliant.

Joker by Steve Miller Band. Probably more about where I was when I first heard it but I viscerally hate it so much.

Tierra Walker knew that abortion was illegal in Texas, but she thought that hospitals could make an exception for patients like her, whose health was clearly on the line.

At 20 weeks pregnant, she died of preeclampsia.

“Ticking Time Bomb”: A Pregnant Mother Kept Getting Sicker. She Died After She Couldn’t Get an Abortion in Texas.
Walker is one of several women ProPublica found with underlying health conditions who died when they couldn’t access abortions.

I've had a promotional VHS for the test animation that became Batman: The Animated Series for a long time, I bought it on eBay in like...1999? The version they put as a bonus on the DVD said they lost the audio but uh, here it is. You're welcome Bruce Timm.

I have a page of original art by Sal Buscema, from Captain America 156, and I love the page, where the erzatz '50s Cap realizes he is facing the real, original Captain America. (The next page has the big punch.)
RIP to our pal.

Just learned Sal Buscema passed away this Friday and today would have been his 90th birthday. My thoughts on his artistic career at Marvel immediately take me to the Hulk, then Rom and Spectacular Spider-Man, his Balder the Brave miniseries.

But I’ll always be thankful for his time on Nova. RIP Sal
