Another low is set to pass to the south & east of Newfoundland beginning Tuesday eve, continuing to Wednesday overnight or early Thursday AM for some.

The heaviest snow will fall in the east, particularly the northern Avalon.

Snow will be accompanied by strong winds.

It is increasingly likely that eastern Nfld will see a snow event on Tuesday night into Wednesday.

Overnight models show a bit more agreement with the RDPS shifting farther west with the low's track.

Exact amounts & timing still remain in question, but get shovels ready!

A retrograding low will bring continuous light-moderate snow to the NE coast, Bay of Exploits, Baie Verte, eastern Nfld & coastal Labrador.

This will occur tonight & Monday for Labrador. Monday to Wed & possibly late week for Nfld.

Expect 10-20cm+, higher amounts likely.

Here are my thoughts on snowfall totals for the winter storm beginning overnight tonight, continuing into Tuesday morning.

The snow/rain/ice pellets mix line may reach southern parts of Metro Monday afternoon.

Blizzard conditions are expected for eastern Newfoundland.

The major storm impacting parts of the NE US & eastern Canada will be an #NLwx maker Monday overnight to Tuesday night.

Some details to work out such as track, but a general 10-20cm seems likely for Nfld. Some pockets of central & NE Nfld may be as high as 25cm.

Gusty as well.
