Laying down lines
like Peter and Paul,
I rap real fine
Cause I got the Call.

Wearing my cappa magna

I bring spiritual manna,

I spit Godly effects

Got some late Christmas requests, so I'm going to clear out the shop a bit before the new year and knock out of a bunch of cherry and walnut cutting boards.

Let me know if you also need a last minute gift!

Lots of folks here are pointing out that the White House is dancing with Aryanism but I think forgetting that the Immaculate Conception is mostly about Mary and secondarily about Jesus...
ok it’s legitimately funny that they can’t even throw red meat to Catholics without falling into heresy

Now is the time to stand with federal workers and their union rights.

We have the bill, the bipartisan support AND the discharge petition signatures we need to stop President Trump’s union-busting. Tell your rep: pass the Protect America’s Workforce Act! https://bit.ly/4r6Ep9M

The on-going intentional misuse of both Catholic doctrine and statutory law to avoid the compulsions of either can only be described as sinful.

To go after a family for no other reason than that their daughter sparked sympathy is appalling. Absolutely appalling. Beyond cruelty into outright sadism.

We Should Have Finished Reconstruction: A Brief History Of American Politics, 1865-2025
While the outcome should be clear from the plain text of the Constitution, the central project of this court and Administration, together, is to nullify the reconstruction amendments
The Supreme Court Friday agreed to decide whether President Donald Trump can unilaterally limit the constitutional right to citizenship granted to virtually every person born in the United States. www.democracydocket.com/news-alerts/...

Lines, there's a shampoo CEO that styles himself as a warlord and bankrolls the Claremont Institute and runs his own post-apocalyptic secret society. I promise you I am not making this up.

Why am I not surprised?
NPS has made Trump's birthday a free admission day, while deleting MLK Day and Juneteenth.
National parks change prioritizes Trump birthday over days honoring Black people
Free entrance days at national parks no longer include MLK Day and Juneteenth.

Unlike other democracies, the US has failed to adequately invest in public media, and the elimination of the CPB delivered a devastating blow to media democracy.

Some of y'all are posting about your Spotify wrapped while others of us are listening to a song on our old iPod mislabeled as Weezer instead of Wheatus because we downloaded it from Limewire or still get our music from CDs at the public library.

If one looks at the Gospels, the Prophets, the Torah, the Church Fathers, Doctors of the Church, Catholic Social Doctrine, and Catholic Social Teaching, it's a pretty clear conclusion:

Being a billionaire is a sin.
Billionaires have been spending vast amounts of money to keep rigging tax policy so that the rest of us have to pay to support them.

Meanwhile, I'm reading my community's angel tree list where 12 year old children are asking for "a warm blanket" as their whole holiday wish list.

I want to make a different point from the one I made this AM: If this was a Kavanaugh stop it's complete BS as it's visually clear that this woman is not from any of the ethnic groups Trump et al want gone. This was straight up done to generate video to establish a competitive system of control.
Agents in Key Largo, Florida ripped this woman wearing medical scrubs out of her car as she screamed she is a US citizen. Agents cuffed her and put her in one of their cars.

She was eventually let go, per David Goodhue of the Miami Herald, who also took this footage:

There is a way in which Trump is the most honest US president. Who else would admit that this country is super racist, commits war crimes and atrocities, that this whole place is soaked in blood and plunder. But he thinks these are its virtues.

Whenever I see internet personalities arguing that "AI is everywhere so we should just embrace it and use it to write papers," I think about the fact that they're the ones who would most benefit from having to write an actual ethics paper.
