Another bit of dialogue that still hits is when the French colonel bristles at being compared to Nazis and says many Frenchmen survived the concentration camps. Not too different from Israel today.

I don't understand the desire by filmmakers to put anachronistic music in period films. Baz Luhrmann does it a lot.

I'm watching Luca Guadagnino's Queer and he has Prince and Nirvana songs in a movie set in the 50s.

It doesn't work imo and takes one out of the narrative.
