Comey’s lawyer Pat Fitzgerald tells the court they will be filing a selective prosecution motion and I’m sure others as well. That’s the right move even though Comey had seemed rarin’ to go to trial.
Trial set forJanuary 5. EDVA moves fast, but not that fast given the motions practice. It will slip.

Feel free to attribute the following to a former OMB General Counsel: The supposed "new legal analysis" is, to use a technical legal term, horseshit. What the law actually says is that when Congress enacts a law ending a lapse, furloughed employees get paid at the earliest date possible. Period.

Texas heeft vrijwillig troepen ingebracht. Juist onder bepaalde juridische omstandigheden kan een staat als Illinois niet weigeren troepen te leveren. De troepen staan dan onder federaal gezag.
