First images of some of the 1,700+ Palestinian hostages freed by Israel returning to Gaza today. Many had been held in military camps under cruel and inhumane conditions, deprived of medical care and food. Some endured severe torture and neglect that led to permanent injuries, including amputations.

Watching the Bibi & Don Show treat this like some grand victory, while people returning to northern Gaza dig the rubble for loved ones' remains, is pretty revolting.

My colleagues & I have taken a huge gamble to set up @thenerve.news We’re trying to build a new independent publication from the ground up. Social media is our only distribution for now.

Sharing this article in your networks would make a huge difference. Thank you! 🙏🙏🙏

Simply adore the colour of Arabian Night dahlia, all the moreso as I thought I had lost it during last winter.
Flowering deep red/mahogany dahlia, 3 blooms in focus, amidst mixed planting of geraniums, perennials.

The UK’s independent scientific bodies are highly vulnerable to politicisation - over the past 5 months I've been working with @martinmckee.bsky.social to map out their vulnerabilities and it's not good news.

Today our report is published!

This has been an ongoing problem which is courtesy of a Luxembourg investment fund that owns thousands of houses in Ireland. These are rented out through one of the dozens of subsidiary companies that the fund uses to obscure its ownership.

Dolphins doing high jumps this morning in the intracoastal waterway near Clearwater, Florida. I've probably captured close to 1,000 jumps on camera over the years but I think these might be the highest I've filmed.

The negotiators of the GFA were so right in weaving the ECHR into the agreement, how easily and glibly our rights, circumstances and lives are written off by the ‘moderate’ commentator class, just as fast as the English electorate. We are just an obstacle to be got around and ignored
hleehurley.com
Listening to the latest News Agents podcast and they have an 'expert' on who, if I've heard him right, has said that judges would just continue to follow EHRC laws even if we left and it wouldn't impact the Good Friday Agreement, all based on advice given to Badenoch.

Lol ok.

This is fantastic news for Irish artists. The key thing now is that the scheme remains randomly allocated, rather than decided by some committee of govt-appointed gatekeepers.
It also begs the question, if Basic Income works for artists, why not extend it to everyone?

I hope journalists who've been aggressively dismissive of these claims take this opportunity to redeem themselves by bringing the report to their readers' attention. And I hope fellow physicians who gleefully carried water for child-killers are confronted with the testimony of the bravest of us.

🚨🚨 "The ECHR is not some foreign imposition that curtails our sovereignty. It was born of British leadership after the horrors of the Second World War, drafted with heavy British influence, and championed by Winston Churchill himself". Great stuff by Sir Robert Buckland KC:

It'd be particularly interesting how warm green members are to other Labour ministers and mps across the spectrum for eg Clive Lewis. Suspect the rw shift of Labour leadership is as much a factor, if indeed, not more so.
