SIMON: I don't think Al can remotely challenge what writers do at a fundamentally creative level.
SHAPIRO: But if you're trying to transition from scene five to scene six, and you're stuck with that transition, you could imagine plugging that portion of the script into an Al and say, give me 10 ideas for how to transition this.
SIMON: I'd rather put a gun in my mouth.

In the future I feel like the law enforcement branch of government & the administrative branch of government should be separate too

It seems dumb the person in charge of military, federal crime investigation, & international diplomacy is also in charge of public transit, education, healthcare, etc

In high fantasy, I'm always making up locations

But for the stories I wrote in the real world, I like using real places I've been - although I do debate if I should make those stories take place in more generic locations at times - generic big city instead of DC or NYC for example

Current WIP, villain is very blatant but readers may be shocked how complicit others are in light of the atrocities

In other WIPs, there are definitely some twists that I hope make the reader feel angry & betrayed bc I want them emotionally invested for the conclusions

I feel it's actually important my characters aren't accepting of the world around them - whether it's the world they've always known or they're transported somewhere new

That friction makes me enjoy my stories more
