One being planned on our doorstep in East Lothian. Robbing the community of vital and well used green spaces and walking routes. Little being done to improve infrastructure, schools, etc. though. There’s a place for these, but not to the detriment of long established towns & villages.

These people have no credibility until they consider anyone other than the Blue Tory/Red Tory diatribe we continue to be served.

The mass tv licence paying public have been gaslit. Distinction between different parts of the organisation. BBC news & current affairs have increasingly been shifting to the right over the past few decades. Gladly providing a platform for soundbite populists and questionable regimes time and again.

Says the man whom the BBC gladly gave a platform to time and again when he was an unelected blowhard. The news & current affairs arm of the organisation has been in the Right’s pocket for years.

This is the ‘leaked memo’ that seems to have led to the BBC resignations. It’s just a right wing diatribe. Reads like an AI report fed on Telegraph columns. archive.is/202511101254...

I think the people that suspected the bias would get worse - are probably right.
I will continue to not watch.
The BBC is facing a coordinated, politically motivated attack. With these resignations, it has given in | Jane Martinson
The corporation should have stood up to the Telegraph, Trump and the Tories. Now, its enemies know how little it takes for it to fold, says Jane Martinson, professor of financial journalism

This 83-year-old priest has just been arrested for holding a sign which read:

“I oppose genocide. I support Palestine Action.”

According to Starmer’s new law, this puts her in the same category as an ISIS or Al-Qaeda terrorist, with a prison sentence of up to 14 years.

Funny. I would have expected the "Free Speech Union" and the other self-proclaimed defenders of free expression to be all over this. But 🦗🦗🦗

How strange.

He's right.
But also: this was exactly how some of us warned the Terrorism Act 2000 would be used when it was passed, by the government in which Peter Hain was a minister. He and all the others either ignored or dismissed our warnings. It's very frustrating.

Will this stretch to Scotland? And would an independence referendum be supported?

The unprecedented vote to proscribe Palestine Action marks a dark day for our democracy — and demonstrates how far this authoritarian government is willing to go to suppress dissenting voices to their complicity in Israel’s genocide in Gaza.

A Labour government is driving disabled people into poverty.

This is a scandal, a stain the party will never be able to wash itself of.

Every Labour MP who votes for this disgraceful legislation must be voted out and replaced by someone who stands up for the struggling.
