This video from Portland is a metaphor for what is going on in America. ICE trying so hard to get Americans to cross a line and if they don't, dragging them across the line and violently attacking.

Trump is underwater on everything. And massively so on a lot things:

Has anyone seen blueprints for the Epstein Ballroom? Donald only shows AI-generated images. You can't build *anything* using AI-generated images. And you certainly can't get engineers to verify the stability of the structure. You can, however, use such images to get unknown people to give you money.

It just got 10% dumber.

Not a joke: Trump just imposed an additional 10 percent tariff on Canada because he still doesn't understand that Reagan was a vehement free trader. www.wsj.com/politics/pol...
"Mate, I can't do anything but tell it to you straight. This Canada thing is literally the dumbest thing I've ever heard. The Canadians ran an advertisement showing Ronald Reagan being against tariffs. Guess what? Ronald Reagan was against tariffs."

The president doesn’t have a constitutional right to impose a tariff because he doesn’t like a foreign country’s TV ad. I know this doesn’t matter to the dictator in the White House, but I thought I’d point it out in case we ever start following the Constitution again.

Absolute immunity from criminal law is non-existent under American law. Even SCOTUS's decision in Trump v US limits presidential immunity to "official acts." States have prosecuted federal officials for violations of state law for over 200 years. 1/
Stephen Miller on Fox threatens to arrest JB Pritzker for "seditious conspiracy" and says, "to all ICE officers: you have federal immunity in the conduct of your duties. And anybody who lays a hand on you or tries to stop or obstruct you is committing a felony."

there's a video somewhere of chamath palihapitiya saying that he used to donate millions to democrats but couldn't get a meeting, but is able to with republicans. like everyone, rich donors want to feel special. no better way to make them feel special than a WH ballroom, earning parties more $$$
Reposted by Kevin Kostuik
the point of the ballroom obvs has nothing to do with aesthetics. it's to create an architectural structure to honor the patronage networks that currently dominate US politics. previous WH venues hosted maybe a couple of hundred people; this hosts nearly 1,000 rich donors.

A 14-word replacement for most op-eds, substacks, etc about this moment.

The GOP could stop ALL of this, right now—if a handful of Sens or Reps could step outside the cult.

It would take four in the Senate, four (maybe five) in the House, to change history.

Until then, they're all to blame.

So they didn’t like the ad. Let’s just post Reagan’s 5 min speech against tariffs as it appears on YouTube.

Over and over. On all platforms (some of y’all are still on X).

The East Wing Desecrators

Given the extraordinary and unprecedented destruction of the entire East Wing, built in 1942 for the Office of the First Lady, it’s important to note who enabled this.

In this thread, I run through the companies and organizations involved and provide contact info.
