He’s actually very smart! But also, very insistent and currently very bored. Tricky combo.
He does! But can’t he love me more quietly when I am talking to a client?
My border collie and his VERY LOUD squeaky toy do not understand the professionalism of client meetings from my home office.
I dunno. Cabinets went out with STYLE. Water heater dribbled and trickled its approaching doom. But we lament it regardless.
My spouse: “What’s that noise in the basement?”
Me: “It’s the furnace.”
Narrator: “It was NOT the furnace.”

I’d like to request a moment of silence for my late, lamented water heater.
I did the math. 108 lbs of sugar per year.
Number five. No shame there!
I met a supervisor at a tire factory who drinks five 20-oz Mountain Dew every 12-hour shift. Doing the math, that’s 93 teaspoons of sugar. NINETY THREE. 182 days a year.

Stick with the Diet Coke. :)
Jaws, Under Paris, and Deep Blue Sea. This ends up in rarefied company!
We just saw BEAST OF WAR, a new Aussie shark movie. Ranks an amazing #4 out of 183 shark movies we've seen. Aboriginal lead, amazing practical effects, good dialogue, WW2 background story, believable villain you love to hate, racism, hot nurses, amazing chomps, fun jump scares. Go see or rent it.
I still remember the phone number to the payphone in my wife’s dorm in Saint Andrews Scotland, memorized in 1989. It is 13 digits and I’m probably never going to forget it.
Happy birthday, @jenkatwrites.bsky.social! Here, have a birthday oopossum.

TTRPG convention questions - as a visitor, what makes a good standing banner at a stand? (Those pull up roller banners)

As a stallholder, what do you think makes a great banner? Anything I should make sure that I do (or avoid doing) when ordering one?

Game Designers... what was the game that got you into designing #ttrpgs and why?

For me it was Fiasco by @jmstar.bsky.social - it was/is a great game, I enjoyed playing it. The format was mind blowing but it didn't quite do what I wanted. So I wrote When The Dark Is Gone which did.

I mourn your lost glasses. :)
Thank god I planned for this!
Looks like it, but wearing an orange or pink shirt. We had @dorianhart.bsky.social’s family and my sister-in-law over and were playing Wii in the living room when the crashtastrophe occurred.
…we don’t KNOW that.
Happy 16th anniversary of Kitchenpocalypse, everyone, when my cabinets and my wall decided to part ways (and turn on the gas stove in the process!)
Ha! I game with a bunch of LookingGlass alums, and I’m pretty sure one of my SotS players (and one of my dearest friends) helped design that. 😀

Continuing to work on “Escape to Utopia” and I’m now writing up Robot Uprising threats.

Which would you fear most? An autonomous car (like Christine)? A robot police dog gone bad? A killer drone that wants to land an explosive on your head?

The fear that one of your NPCs is really a robot…?
