Pitch for TV executives:

"Who Wants to Eat a Billionaire?"
Some days the hate feels so loud we can't hear anything else, but if we listen after, the love swells in abundance, reminding us that we belong to each other. Don't let the hate convince you that you're alone. We're all in this together.

Rob Reiner was a talented man who will be remembered for bringing laughs and heartfelt films to the world.

Donald Trump is a lucky sociopath who will be remembered for bringing misery and division to America.

Rob Reiner made some great movies but he was also unafraid to speak the truth, and was one of the public voices who knew you don’t squander your platform, and only got louder about opposing evil fucks as he got older. Legend.

I'll never forget the day my dad showed me "Stand By Me" for the first time. I was 9 years old and it became my favorite film so quickly, and held that position until Shawshank came out. I've watched that movie several hundred times, it was one of the most influential movies of my childhood.

My kid and I were just talking today about how so many directors turned out to be crappy people. Then I listed Mike Flanagan, Kevin Smith, and Rob Reiner as examples of the good guy directors. Feeling exceptionally shaken by this news.

My kid and I went to a free "shopping" day a couple towns over where they filled the auditorium of a Catholic school with gently used items and families can go take anything they want. Everyone was so nice and we got a few nice items to wrap and put under the tree. Community care at work. ❤️

The death of National Guard Specialist Sarah Beckstrom is a tragedy and devastating loss for all who knew her.

I condemn her murder, along with the exploitation of this tragedy to further advance hate, bigotry, and anti-immigrant policy.

We cannot treat trauma with more trauma.

At 47.5 I just got my very fist juror questionnaire! My health really sucks but I've always wanted to be on a jury (12 Angry Men and To Kill a Mockingbird were very influential in my childhood.) I guess we'll see what happens.

Had an ancestor on the Mayflower, so please join me in national "My ancestors did some fucked up shit" day. There will still be turkey though, cuz I love turkey.

I was just thinking about contributing to the "charity" Feeding America. Until I discovered that the salary for its CEO, Claire Babineaux-Fontenot, was approximately $949,866 in 2024, with her total compensation being $1,113,502. Apparently, feeding America isn't her top priority.

Been following Ted Lieu for many years, but after he voted against all forms of socialism today, he's no longer worth my time. Fuck these centrist assholes. Democratic Socialism is needed to save this fucking country. Get on board or get the fuck out of the way.

BREAKING: The U.S. Coast Guard just announced they won’t classify swastikas and nooses as hate symbols anymore they’re calling them ‘potentially divisive.’ Potentially divisive? Listen, a noose isn’t a conversation starter. A swastika isn’t a debate topic. They are dangerous hate symbols. Full stop

Medicare for All would save $450B a year.

Every dollar spent on food stamps generates $1.50-$1.80 in economic activity.

Each dollar going to low-wage workers adds $1.20 to the economy overall.

It’s not about what this country can or can’t afford.

It’s about priorities.

Thanks to Kathy Hochul we were finally able to buy groceries today. I don't like everything about her, but I'm really grateful that NY took care of its citizens. I'm never moving out of NY.
