New - Nigel Farage has been found by the Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards to have made 17 standards breaches, adding up to over £380,000 in late declarations.

He’s apologised, so no further investigation (which seems unusual for a breach this large)

He failed to declare £333,000 in outside interests (more than 3x MPs annual salary)…

Why is Donald Trump changing his mind every five minutes and saying completely mad stuff an embarrassment for Keir Starmer? It feels like it should chiefly be seen as an embarrassment for the United States.

This guy doesn’t realise how much of a symptom of the problem he is. A back-combed, permatanned avatar of smugness handing out lectures to people whose responsibilities he can’t even begin to encompass.

Frankly: it is ridiculous that Russia (population circa 145 million, awful demographics, GDP of about the same size as Italy) is a security threat to Europe that requires US help to manage. But it currently is.
Reversing that is the first aim. And very very achievable.

Look at this bad villain from a single filler episode of The Colbys lashing out as he can’t suggest anything other than “stand tall”. American politics is a disaster zone.
>> @governor.ca.gov Gavin Newsom to world leaders and billionaires at Davos: It’s time to buck up. Stop being complicit. Have a backbone. Trump will play you for fools.

Just reflexively oppositional, YOU NEGOTIATED THIS DEAL! If you'd not held the election when you did, Rishi would have signed it. YOU WERE IN THE FOREIGN OFFICE AT THE TIME.
This is (1) disgraceful at a moment of national danger, (2) laughably unserious and (3) deeply unwise when the President is obviously becoming incapacitated and the most unpopular person in the whole UK. Utterly disqualifying.

I can’t imagine what it would be like to be a news correspondent asked: “And what are we to make of…?” then the latest piece of demented nonsense Trump is peddling. As if it’s something that can be analysed or rationalised and not just something that makes you want to run screaming from the room.
