Just a curious guy. I write a little, usually on Medium. Health care, tech, the future - those kinds of things.
Issues about the accounting of, and insurance for, #AI might seem like a bother, but they're signs that AI is truly becoming mainstream.

We don't usually think about accountants or actuaries when we think about AI, but we're going to have to.

People in the GOP either are ignorant of how insurance works -- and how health care spending is distributed -- or they simply don't care bout sick people. Take your pick.

It's infuriating either way.

Amen. 👍
It's time for healthcare providers to think about engaging in "good trouble."

AMA Code of Ethics Preamble states: "In some cases, the law mandates conduct that is ethically unacceptable.... In exceptional circumstances of unjust laws, ethical responsibilities should supersede legal duties."
It's not safe to be pregnant in Texas. Especially since everyone knew this would be the result of an abortion ban.

But also, let's not forget - one of the 90+ doctors could have averted this. They are not off the hook just because Texas's law caused this.

2025 … good year to analyze who gets rewarded and who gets punished and for what and why…
New: Reuters has tallied job losses, suspensions and investigations stemming from the reaction to Charlie Kirk's Sept. 10 assassination. Its findings: More than 600 Americans have been punished, and the figure is likely to be an under-count.
