I remember 80s movies like "Red Dawn" where the German Green Party entering the government resulted in the Russian invasion. That the US president's tiny ego is so hurt because he did not receive the Nobel Peace Prize, and that this is leading to war, was (sadly) not on anyone's bingo card.
