Question: is there a place in the plenary hall to avoid the captions on the screen? Flashing captions cause migraines for me. I think even sitting at the very front to view the speaker, it might not be possible to avoid the captions on the screen above.

Life threatening food allergies are disabilities. How can churches make worship and fellowship places both safe & inclusive for people with this disability? Having GF communion is inclusive. Saying “but it’s gluten free” to people with a peanut or a sesame allergy is not.

Can confirm: Just spoke to him, and Barber and two others were, in fact, arrested.

BREAKING: Police just surrounded Rev. William Barber, prominent activist and pastor, as he and others prayed in the U.S. Capitol Rontunda.
Police then expelled everyone (including press!) from the Rotunda to (presumably) arrest them.
I've covered protests here a lot. Never seen anything like it.

When our leaders refuse to talk about climate change, we have more of a responsibility to do so; to advocate for and become better leaders in the vacuum. Ignoring climate change will make it worse, but we can all have a part in mitigating the worst effects.

May we all reflect on our past as we continue working to build a society that lives up to its democratic ideals.
