First day of trying to treat my ADHD (officially rediagnosed as an adult now). Honestly I never thought about this affecting me all these years as I was so fixated on feelings of depression but I hope this is the right step towards making progress in self-care/improvement.

I feel similarly! My family has roots in El Paso with my father's side being part of Ysleta del Sur Pueblo and we visited Taos, NM to find out our Tigua heritage originally had roots with Tiwa in Taos. :) It's always fun to look at your family history and connect with it! ☺️

Yup! That's how I feel. It's similar to how I can understand self-love and compassion in theory but I struggle entirely with applying it to myself. Emotions can supersede logic for me unfortunately.

Still, I hope you find the right balance for you and you deserve to feel appreciated nonetheless. :)
