Finding out that Jared Leto kept doing his method acting shit and insisted on staying in character on the set of Tron Ares and would only answer to the name of Ares is so funny, like making a big ass douche of yourself for the third Tron movie where you play “computer program that gains feelings”

Certainly a surprising argument being made on the side of JK “I’m going go make it my mission to ensure we don’t have to figure out how to live with trans people” Rowling
junoryleejournalism.com
right … which is .. what so many of us are asking for as trans people ???

Kiera Knightley sounds like a BlueSky moderator

Keira Knightley said that before joining the voice cast of Audible's "Harry Potter: The Full Cast Audio
Editions,
" she was "not aware" of the fan boycott
of all things "Harry Potter" over J.K. Rowling's statements about the transgender community:
"You know, I think we're all living in a period of time right now where we're all going to have to figure out how to live together, aren't we? And we've all got very different opinions. I hope that we can all find respect."

A 13-year-old boy was arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents in Everett after an interaction with members of the Everett Police Department and sent to a juvenile detention facility in Virginia, according to his mother and immigration lawyer Andrew Lattarulo.

The boy’s mother, Josiele Berto, was called to pick her son up from the Everett Police Department on Thursday, the day he was arrested. After waiting for about an hour and a half, she was told her son was taken by ICE, Berto told the Globe in a phone interview.

“My world collapsed,” Berto said in Portuguese.

From the police department, the boy was taken to ICE’s holding facility in Burlington on Thursday evening, where he spent a night before being transferred by car to the Northwestern Regional Juvenile Detention Center in Winchester, Va., on Friday morning, his mother said. The juvenile facility is more than 500 miles away from Everett.

The boy is a 7th-grader at Albert N. Parlin School in Everett, his mother said. The teen and his family, who are Brazilian nationals, have a pending asylum case and are authorized to work legally in the United States, Lattarulo said.

According the article, the Everett Police still have not told the parents why they arrested their 13-year-old child, nor why they handed him over to ICE while his parents waited in the station to pick him up.

If Joe Biden was unable to close an umbrella there would have been +/- 1,000 think pieces in the newspapers of America questioning whether he was capable of discharging the duties of the office of President of the United States.

The fact we only have the Sonic OVA soundtrack because some guy thought "maybe I can look through the credits & just ask each person who worked on it politely" is really funny to me.

People are hating on the Peacemaker season 2 finale & I agree it’s got its issues (as does the whole season) but frankly, it’s nice to see a piece of superhero & mainstream media that has flaws rooted in an artists specific personality & voice instead of being boring corporate slop like Tron: Ares.

This is how you do it.
If they're not going to answer the question, repeat the known facts, reiterate that they are not answering the question, and then cut off their air.

STEPHANOPOULOS: I didn't insinuate anything. I asked you whether Tom Homan accepted $50k as was heard on an audio tape recorded by the FBI in September 2024. You did not answer the question. Thank you for your time.

VANCE: No, George, I sai--

I really don't know where we went that even the directors of this franchise have got it in their head that the big appeal of Ocarina was the golden skulltula quest but here we are

Miyamoto also saying they're worried people will lose interest in Zedla if they have to follow a linear sequence is such a classic Miyamoto hyperfixation

oh I never heard this quote about Echoes of Wisdom from Aonuma

BOTW really did fundamentally rewrite what they consider to be a Zelda game

Like I approached the MKW's open world with the same sort of mindset I approached free roam in City Trial where I'm just kinda there to chill and look around and it's pretty cute

Not something I'm going to sink a ton of time in but it's not designed for you to be doing that

I've been bitching about how ass the reward structures in open world Nintendo games have been for 8 years and the one time everyone decided it was a dealbreaker is the game where it arguably matters the least

Why the fuck would a Mario Kart open world need more tangible things to collect

Sonic more than any other series just demands you meet it on its terms and if you're new to a particular game or new to the series that might be too tall of an ask for you to really engage

It doesn't mean any criticism is invalid, but there is a gulf in mindset between different experience levels

Someone new to these games is going to be very lost on most emerald hunt maps, and won't really find it satisfying to rack up huge scores on the shooting stages bc they don't know how to. Most new players bounce off the Chao stuff despite how much that encourages routing the stages for optimal rings
krissyblues.bsky.social
Another example is how much people hate Sonic Adventure 2's other gameplay styles

I've always been so confused by that, thinking "but the treasure hunts are so easy and quick and the shooting stages are fun to optimize", but I know where every emerald spawn is and know HOW to optimize the shooting

People tend to say others only like certain Sonic games bc they grew up with them, but smthn I've been thinking about is Sonic's "improvement over time" gameplay philosophy also just naturally means you'll like a game more if you really spend time with it, and you're more likely to do that as a kid
krissyblues.bsky.social
On the flipside, my friends who grew up with a PSP love Rivals 2, but my first and only playthrough was pretty miserable

It could be that no matter how many times we play these games those'll be our opinions, but I can't help but wonder where the needle moves if we rly sink time into it

Like my friend utterly hates Sonic Advance 3 and has only played it exactly once, it's still to this day one of my favorite 2D Sonics because I really labbed the hell out of its nuances when I was younger
