🚫 Eh, aye!
The best way to address the hard things is to face them. For the past several days I've taken a late afternoon walk. Each time it gets easier.

I'm grateful to say that it's helped to have the support of a friend like @optimstie.bsky.social

Let others know when you're struggling. You aren't alone.

Artists, in this bleak moment, I would ask that you continue your work, wherever you are, whatever your medium. Your work is important because embedded in it will be the history of the moment. We cannot let the future forget what happened. Let it come out naturally through your art.

This is what I continue to work on every evening - it helps calm my nervous system after a day of following the latest news. About 75-80% completed 💚

There comes a point where I think that a piece is done but without the resources to pay readers or editors, the feedback that I have is limited.

Hence, a rather drawn-out cycle of revising and rewriting. I tell myself that it's for the best and am starting to believe it.

How do you know when a book is done? I just have to force myself to move on, otherwise, I would revise forever #writingq #WritingCommunity

my entire adult life i have seen protests in the US be either ridiculed, downplayed or just ignored by our news media and i guess it's an international phenomena

unfortunately the most effective propaganda is when you don't realize its propaganda
The idea that there are no protests in the US and no one is standing up to Trump is proving incredibly hard to kill over here in Germany. It’s become dogma, utterly detached from empirical reality.

I wonder if the people who keep talking like that understand they’re perpetuating regime propaganda.

A friend is looking to buy a good pair of earbuds.

Do any of you lovely audiophiles have a recommendation?

Anger is a secondary emotion, meaning that there is a root cause. It's often founded in fear. It takes courage to admit that, then to sit with and process it. We are not our feelings and emotions pass.

These are painfully hard times. I experience fear too. Better to face this together than divided.

This era of bluesky is perfect for making new mutuals, and growing alongside your peers in a collectively unfamiliar environment.

It cannot be overstated how much just supporting your peers matters at a time like this.

MUST READ thread before Monday night's forecasted G4 / SEVERE geomagnetic storm. Auroras could be seen as far south as the U.S.-Mexico border at times. Widespread mid-latitude displays are possible. Here's what you need to know to have a successful aurora chase tonight! 🧵
