Esp. since games have MORE ways of inducing discomfort/friction/challenge than other media! I can’t NOT think of the tiresome discourse around “difficulty”, too. It’s just another flavor of the same baby-brain that rejects the idea of a video game being anything more complex than jangling keys.

The Horses stuff is very tiring because so many in games like the idea of games being “art” when it suits them, but revert to “nooo games are fun toys” when it makes them uncomfortable.

Blight of American culture to police who “should” have access to social services, when the right answer is everyone. Setting a threshold on who is disabled enough, poor enough, working hard enough, sick enough, healthy enough, etc. results in moving goalposts that are used to deny people services.

I don't care if a non-disabled person accesses a disability accommodation for the same reason I don't care if a child whose parents are rich gets free lunch at school. We don't need to means test being a kind person. I have better things to do with my time than be a cop over social services.
