Watching a National Geographic documentary about predatory insects then flipping over to literally any news station. It makes you realize even the bugs are better than we are. At least they honestly eat each other. We just do it a little at a time while we smile.

If you haven’t read the book Immune by Philipp Dettmer you gotta add it to the list. I bought it on a whim and man… it’s a good time. Would recommend.

Sometimes, late at night, I remember that time at a work dinner when I told everyone that meetings are just a bunch of primates wearing clothes, listening to another primate sling their shit the loudest, and then someone goes in another room to scroll their phone and defecate.

So, I’ve been expanding to dishes and cooking techniques from different countries each week for an upcoming project. But no matter what I try, I always come back to making pizza and pasta. Italian cooking got me for life.

Sometimes, when my little dog jumps from the floor to the arm of the couch like it’s normal, I think about that if I could hit that kind of vertical I’d be able to jump on the roof of my house. It’s disappointing that we’re not as cool as our dogs think we are.
