The size of this operation and the fact it took us by surprise was a big stumbling block.

But we'd still brought over 1,000 to justice, and the ringleader indicted.

But people voted accountability away.

Today in Portland, a fed shooting pepper balls from the roof of the ICE facility was so eager to aim for people’s heads, that after shooting one photographer in the head and another in the upper arm, they accidentally shot a DHS agent in the head. This photo shows the moment of impact;

What Biden did was very unusual, in that it applied to everyone - and also pushed forward the uncomfortable truth of student loan organizations being locked in a feedback loop with the colleges.

A job offering partial relief as an incentive does none of those larger things.

As awful as the backlash is right now, we are fighting to hold a line none of us dreamed in the 1980's would exist in our lifetimes.

Women and other minorities have experienced similar uneven, but nonetheless significant, civil rights progress.

That's what triggered the ongoing 2015 backlash.

In the intervening 40 years we not only survived, but we got the government to acknowledge us, we've got effective HIV drugs, we have people living normal life spans again.

We have marriage equality, we have varying degrees of rights in states, and there are lots of LGBTQ+ families.

Because we have made significant progress until 2016. When I first started voting AIDS was new, and no one would talk about it, and the general population was more than happy that "God" was punishing gays for their sinful lifestyles.
