It’s the “season of love and giving”…but this year, doesn’t it seem more like a “season of fear and taking”? Like many of you, I’ve been saddened by the human impact of draconian government budget cuts and how angry many housed Americans are at unhoused Americans.

I hate to say this, but I 100% would support this if there's a chance the would-be privateers can get blown to bits by cartel members . But we all know they'll have a US Navy hotline they can call if things get out of hand.
FFS. Is Mike Lee even serious?
This is asinine.

Doesn't SpaceX have like...investors? I know they're private, but they do sell shares to accredited investors.

They're not waiting on the Supreme Court to tell them they can ignore the clear, plain text of the 14th Amendment that everyone born in the US is a birthright citizenship. They are trying to erase the citizenship of anyone with skin darker than Stephen Miller's through administrative action alone.
“They’re denying that any of her birth certificates, which are from Laurel, Maryland, her records of immunization, medical records — they’re denying the authenticity of them. It is something I’ve never encountered.” www.huffpost.com/entry/us-cit...
Trump Administration Says Maryland Woman's Birth Certificate Is Fake In Dystopian Move
Dulce Consuelo Diaz Morales was arrested on Sunday. ICE won’t release her despite extensive documentation of her citizenship, her attorneys told HuffPost.

Larry Bushart spent 37 days in jail — all because he posted a meme after Charlie Kirk's murder. He was held on an outlandish $2 million bail.

And now it's time for Sheriff Nick Weems and Perry County to face the consequences for violating Bushart's First Amendment rights.
LAWSUIT: Ex-cop sues after spending 37 days in jail for sharing meme following Charlie Kirk murder
Larry Bushart was arrested for a social media post and held on a $2 million bond he could not afford. Now, he's fighting back.

Washington’s refusal to regulate AI is a corruption story. Just ask Donald Trump and Speaker Mike Johnson.

It really does strike a perfect balance between 'I have no idea how to actually address this' and 'Act now or lose your democracy forever'.
this is like a conservative parody of bernie's policies. we're gonna ban companies building these things because.. vague future actions?

push the regulations directly! banning the construction is just laughable.
I will be pushing for a moratorium on the construction of data centers that are powering the unregulated sprint to develop & deploy AI.

The moratorium will give democracy a chance to catch up, and ensure that the benefits of technology work for all of us, not just the 1%.

All I know is that as a Broncos fan I was absolutely terrified by last week's game, and now that we've won it everybody seems to finally accept we're a real football team.

I don't think that happens if we beat a very average team.
Packers offense is...

2nd in EPA/play
3rd in weighted DVOA
4th in success rate
Love and the Packers were pretty average and now they are even more so! The media must come to grips with this.

What a horrid horrid woman.
Okeeeee, Rep. Virginia Foxx (R-N.C.) just said nobody is allowed to say in this hearing that Republicans never offered an alternative to the Affordable Care Act.

"I will gavel them down." 😂

(Republicans have unsuccessfully tried 70+ times to repeal and replace ACA.)

Since 9/11, the FBI has spent a ton of resources effectively entrapping angry poor people into pretending they were engaging in a terrorist plot and then "stopping" the plot that never had any chance of being carried out. This is almost certainly another such case.

'No, no, no, YOUR Epstein guy is bad, MY Epstein guy is really great for the following reasons.....'

I understand it's hard to accept that your heroes were pervs, but as someone whose entire childhood was shaped by Cosby and his comedy, you learn to deal with it.
Noam Chomsky’s emails to Jeffrey Epstein display none of the fawning chatter found from, say, Larry Summers. And he does not appear to have been co-opted by whatever access Epstein provided.

What the Noam Chomsky–Jeffrey Epstein E-mails Tell Us
Chomsky has often suffered fools, knaves, and criminals too lightly. Epstein was one of them. But that doesn’t mean Chomsky was part of the “Epstein class.”

I really want the Dems to explain what they think this is supposed to accomplish. Because I don't think they know what 230 does, why they even would want to consider it, or what the possible consequences could be. If it is successfully repealed it would prob be a huge disaster.
Sen. WHITEHOUSE: We finally are moving to file a bipartisan Section 230 repeal bill. Waiting any longer serves no useful purpose.

At some point you HAVE to fire the team leadership. It should have been done the day Harris lost. But it won't be done.
The bill needed 60 votes to pass, but only four Republicans broke with their party and voted to extend the subsidies that millions rely on: Josh Hawley, Lisa Murkowski, Dan Sullivan, and Susan Collins, resulting in a total of just 51 votes in favor. trib.al/6MSW0cH
