Y'all, working with immigration clients is a lot right now. I'm just a lowly student attorney in a clinic repping two clients but still it's a lot. These are just people in stupid predicaments through no fault of their own trying to live their best lives.

I mentioned a couple of days ago that I am finished watching this government arrest Black journalists as lawless federal agents shoot innocent unarmed people in the street.

So on Friday, I sued State's Attorney Burke - not for money, but for justice. Since she is unwilling or unable to prosecute people who terrorized Chicagoans for weeks, I am requesting the appointment of a Special Prosecutor who will. That is the only relief I am requesting. (Cont.)

I don't think people understand that if you shut down the government, ICE and CBP do NOT shut down. They're funded by supplemental money from the BBB. That's why dems are separating the DHS funding bill and asking for restrictions. I want them to demand a rescission of that funding or shut DHS down
