He is taxing the rich - see the attached list.

Yes I’m going to say where’s the money coming from, because stealing them will result in investment dropping to zero & pension funds collapsing AND we’d still need £100bn just to build the infrastructure for water! 🤦🙄

MAJOR NEWS: @GavinNewsom signed SB 79, my bill allowing more housing near public transit — rail, subway, rapid bus.

It’s a huge step for housing in California. It’ll create more homes, strengthen our transit systems & reduce traffic & carbon emissions.

Thank you, Governor!

And that has what to do with a PM who is genuinely working class, is trying to fix the country and raise everyone, especially the most vulnerable?
lazytitan258.bsky.social
It was agreed in May, they are meeting next month to iron out the details.
These things take time.
lazytitan258.bsky.social
I’m pretty sure this was always the goal, they’ve just been waiting on the EU.
lazytitan258.bsky.social
Yes they are! Starmer and his cabinet have managed to almost completely rebuild the relationship the Tories ruined, hence the deal they announced in May and are finalising next month. 🤦🙄
lazytitan258.bsky.social
It’s a start, there’s no point having loads of consultants if no one is getting through triage!

The “common knowledge” is more conspiracy theory shouted by the far left for months.

They explicitly banned the supply of parts to Israel, but are still being blamed for other countries supplying them
lazytitan258.bsky.social
Don’t believe the Findoutnow poll, it’s outlier garbage.
Most reliable polls show them dropping from 30% a month or so ago to 26-28%.
Labour have been stable at 20%for months, never really dropping further, despite the barrage of negative misinformation.
lazytitan258.bsky.social
Really? When did the Tories put £1bn towards addressing homelessness AND THEN add an additional £84 million?

I must have missed that!
lazytitan258.bsky.social
Labour are delivering their manifesto, there’s a lot of noise, but that’s all it is. The unremittingly hostile media would like everyone to think Labour have already failed, but that’s not even close to true.
lazytitan258.bsky.social
It’s Stephen Miller & his ghoulish tech bro billionaire cronies. Trump is a figurehead. The problem they face is that they only had 18 months to make their fascist coup work & Trump is declining faster than they expected. They’re panicking.
lazytitan258.bsky.social
Labour can’t work with the Greens, they’re unmoored from reality. The LDs they could work with, but electoral reality makes it virtually pointless, there’s almost no constituencies where they’re in direct competition.
PC & SNP define themselves in opposition to Westminster, so that can’t fly either
lazytitan258.bsky.social
Don’t be silly. Reform’s polling numbers have dropped by 5% in the last month, they are looking increasingly shaky. As the election draws nearer Labours many positive policies will start paying off.

Did you expect them to fix everything in a year?
lazytitan258.bsky.social
He’s a good communicator, shame he’s completely vacuous & without depth or policy.
lazytitan258.bsky.social
Apparently they do! They seem to only want easy answers & not to confront the realities of fixing a country that has been hollowed out for 14 years!
lazytitan258.bsky.social
What ARE you talking about? Because it doesn’t bear any resemblance to actual reality!
lazytitan258.bsky.social
Exactly. The Greens manifesto in 24 was unrealistic with a £15bn one, now it’s more than tripled! 🤦
lazytitan258.bsky.social
The £40 billion is gone, it won’t be coming back. We can’t rebuild the economy again, but it’s a myth that the business is just going to reappear as soon as we rejoin 🙄
Blaming Starmer for not achieving the impossible in just over a year makes you sound like a child.
lazytitan258.bsky.social
We can’t just rejoin the CU & SM without being members of the EU & we can’t just do that either, it’s at least a 5+ yr process AND that’s assuming it goes smoothly which it won’t, because we’d never get a unanimous vote in the EU & only 35% of the electorate support rejoining on realistic terms.

Reform are the biggest concern for future government. Centre left aren’t turning anywhere, the far left are trying their best to attack Labour at every turn, as are the RW media.

They banned anything that could be used in Gaza 9 months before the rest of Europe.
They haven’t suppressed any protests, peaceful or otherwise.
Why are you so willing to believe news articles based on unnamed sources and conspiracy theories?
lazytitan258.bsky.social
They said they would lift the 2 child cap when they could afford to. They can now and have announced they will. They have taxed the wealthy, they just did it effectively rather than try and ineffective and performative wealth tax.
