I tore out a concrete patio with a sledgehammer. Kids wanted to try - they’d take a few swings and that would be it though.

We knew that happened but our stake president was a prick. His counselor said no-problem but when we brought it to the SP, a director in church management, he wasn’t about to upset the apple cart. My son told me his mission president cried when he brought it up there. My PIMO wife was spitting nails

I know. My son and I were physically assaulted on our missions. My other son bit by a dog. We survived OK, but the church can’t take those chances where their own money is concerned.

Our daughter, BTW, attended her brother’s classes the first week and brought him up to speed. I attended two weeks of a class for another son in a similar situation. A nice thing about college professors not taking roll.

Sure it’s OK. I don’t begrudge them. But it wasn’t OK for my kid to come home one week early because his college classes began a week before he came home tells me a lot about the church’s priorities.

Sure it’s OK. I don’t begrudge them. But it wasn’t OK for my kid to come home one week early because his college classes began a week before he came home tells me a lot about the church’s priorities.

Saw this eagle and it's partner a couple of miles to the east of the turkeys in my previous post. Last week when I was driving near South Weber, I saw an eagle fly by so today I thought I'd bike along the Weber river to see if they were still around.
