Intro: I'm a photojournalist with a background in newspapers before joining Reuters. I've covered small feature stories, national and international protest movements, climate change, breaking news, conflict and so many other things in between. I'll be posting my work here and on IG. #photojournalism
Update: I am now a freelancer! I left Reuters so that I could pursue new paths and projects and I will continue to freelance for them in the future. I am a professional photographer/videographer, I have a drone license, recent HET certs and I am also getting into the safety instructor space.

I don’t enjoy being that person but here it is again: please share photo and story credit. Other than it being the right thing to do, it allows people to validate it and cross check for authenticity. We need to be spreading media literacy thru responsible info sharing. Otherwise nothing is believed.

This has been the only hope for journalists the past decade. It doesn’t seem to be panning out well for some of the papers bought by wealthy people.
if there was a rich person with the will, you could build the most incredible news organization that has ever existed just from the wreckage of this year alone.
I was laid off from Teen Vogue today along with multiple other staffers, and today is my last day.
certainly more to come from me when the dust has settled more, but to my knowledge, after today, there will be no politics staffers at Teen Vogue.

Truly. On the other side of this: the amount of times this happens on the job... Something you find or that falls into place that feels so spot on it's almost unbelievable. Most recent example is this Federal officer lining up CS/OC grenades in front of him during a standoff w protesters in Chicago.
