Time for some CPD traffic stops!

. @toddkbailey.bsky.social What we need to reclaim them is engagement, not division; dialog, not stigmatization. True, they're being willfully, intractably ignorant—tribalism in action—but most don't BELIEVE themselves to be fascist, etc., they simply have no idea. Like Americans throughout history.

The fact you've cut off our debate illustrates my point: we're getting nowhere with closed minds & binary thinking. You said:
"...It’s not who they are it’s who they choose to get info from that makes them bad people."
Most AREN'T choosing. Conforming, sure. Tribalism.
leftrightbrainer.bsky.social
You can the easy road: Us/Them, Good/Bad. What then? Do we build camps and round them up the way T-rex is doing with immigrants (& citizens)? No. We all gotta live together at some point. It's going to be HARD WORK, not an easy way, to level-up America.
leftrightbrainer.bsky.social
First, we must outvote them, because even I, dreamer that I am, know we can't educate enough of them before November (assuming elections are held). But then we must educate them to the error of their ways. Or maybe just their kids!
leftrightbrainer.bsky.social
I will agree that they are responsible for their choices. And we know "ignorance is not an excuse for breaking the law," but even bigots ignorant of how the Constitution works (or what fascism is) need education before condemnation. Division has never worked to build a democracy. Ever.
leftrightbrainer.bsky.social
Easy, striker, don't leap to ad hominem. I'M SAYING (read it again) a huge swath of Americans are getting MISINFORMATION, and therefore drawing bad conclusions. They do not (vast majority) believe they ARE behaving/believing in fascism, misogyny, racism. They think they are DOING THE RIGHT THING.

No but you see it's okay for a man to cross-dress if they're doing it to denigrate women or mock their femininity, see...

Maybe all our allied countries (whoever's left) can somehow work together to Article 25 him.

Portlandia folk should be posting short vid clips of downtown areas daily/hourly so the world can see all the crazy rioting. View coverage should overlap for transparency & legitimacy. Just constant public WitnessCams.
leftrightbrainer.bsky.social
This binary thinking is what got us into this mess. "All R's bad" is as true as "All L's good". I think most R-identifying folk are simply steeped in media-controlled ignorance. You put two peeps in a room and ask basic ?s and they agree on 90%+. sm-stoked tribalism & ignorance are killing us.

Ye gods I hope you're right. If their withered, vestigial consciences growing a pair is the only thing between us and democracy's Armageddon, though, I'm going to look for help elsewhere.

Primo owns many familiar brands: Arrowhead, Poland Spring, Ice Mountain, Ozarka, etc.

That anyone buys bottled water—except for disaster relief or humanitarian crises (itself betraying a lack of imagination—is a sign of the deep ignorance of our consumer-oriented social order. We can do better.

Follow the money: Nestle sold their N.A. water brands to a pair of private equity firms (2021), which renamed it as #BlueTriton, which merged w/ Primo Water Corp into Primo Brands. Does Primo carry on in the tradition of Nestle, stealing muni/public water sources for profitable bottling? Unknown.

Anyone agree the wrting on Apple’s #Invasion S3 has fallen way off the mark?

I think the #ICE teams (where “team” means gun-toting yahoos held together by money) are either paid by arrest/detain quotas, or bonus-incentivized by $, but they’re having trouble finding the “millions of illegals” supposedly swarming the streets. Lotsa catch & release.

Laura Loopy loses her lunch. lol
If she gave a rat's ass about the country (she doesn't, but IF) she would vote for anyone BUT Repugnicrats in 2026.

This is par for the course for Nestle. They are among the most rapacious, destructive, truly evil corporations in operation today. Their track record with stealing water rights alone is worthy of international condemnation. Cesspool of profiteers.

It’s about time some red state governors said this!
Tweet from Home of the Brave: “Oklahoma’s Republican Gov. Kevin Stitt criticizes Trump for sending the Texas National Guard to Illinois,” followed by Stitt’s quote about states’ rights and federalism. Below is a photo of Stitt sitting in his office with an American flag behind him.
