Google Antigravity is generally good but here it got confused by conversational history contamination from two other projects. This project has nothing to do with simulated missiles or AIS but the agent wasted time considering how to fit them into the architecture and searching for them.

The latest episode of We Call It Imagineering is all about the department I work in, R&D. It shows off some of the fun robots we've released very recently, and even gives a peek at newer stuff (I love the water robots). www.youtube.com/watch?v=EoPN...

What! This is crazy–There's been only a single submarine vs. submarine fight where both were submerged and one was sunk by a torpedo.
So it turns out submarine vs submarine combat is as science fiction as spacecraft vs spacecraft combat.

Source for the AEGIS Combat sim/game is at github.com/wiseman/aegi.... It's simple but I find it kind of fun.

The FAA issued a security NOTAM for airspace near Venezuela (the Maiquetía FIR) "due to the worsening security situation and heightened military activity". An additional statement (via @airplaneian.com) mentioned the "increased GNSS interference" in the area. www.faa.gov/air_traffic/...

It feels very 2000s but I love that I have obliscence.com, and that it was still available in 2024 or whatever.

This is a thread detailing a series of incidents where federal Judge Ellis rules that Gregory Bovino and his agents lied or misrepresented what was happening on the streets of Chicago. In this one, she says body cam footage suggests they brake checked to cause accidents

If you see "Communications failure with simulation server. Loading fallback drill," that means too many people are playing my AEGIS Combat Simulator game and the Gemini API key (free tier) is maxed out. Try again later.

I made an almost-fully-functional Bluesky client in it today, in between meetings, as a Rust TUI. I don't know Rust and I am AI-critical, and was largely trying this out to understand its progress. I am struggling a bit to understand what this means for my job and future. Just insane.

It's too early to say for sure, but I'm imagining dropping Cursor and Cline for Google's Antigravity with Gemini 3. The integrated experience is really slick, with after-action walkthroughs that can include short video recordings of the agent using the browser to verify a change was made correctly.

A few years ago, Putin hyped the Kinzhal hypersonic missile. Now electronic warfare is knocking it out of the sky with music and some bad directions.

Bellingcat has seen a change in the emails they get from people with paranoid delusions. Previously the disordered thinking was reflected in screenshots pasted at random, font/color changes, all caps, etc. "LLMs give people with delusional belief systems a way to organise those beliefs."
We’re watching a shift where AI simulates the cohesion and reinforcement that used to require an entire online community. A single person can now build a complete parallel reality with nothing more than a prompt window. Which seems bad.

I've been tweaking my Finland Digitraffic AIS Situation Map. I still think it's neat that shows military vessels most trackers don't, and that it can distinguish between multiple ships that are using the same MMSI. fta-ais-live.obliscence.com

This is a good thread. It's a basic topic, but there still seems to be a lot of people who claim that AI isn't useful, and that nobody wants AI except CEOs.
There’s a very surreal conversation I keep having on here where people seem unable to hold two ideas at the same time, and I’m not sure why. It’s simply true that the Big AI platforms like ChatGPT are:
1. Extremely bad for society, in many ways.
2. Very genuinely popular with lots of people.
