A guy with a shirt with Rando written on it tells the author : so tired of hearing the left talk about fascism. it feels so disrespectful to compARE WHAT'S HAPPEning in the u.s. to the millions of victims of Nazi Germany. She replies : you seem to think that the death camps happened overnight, but it was a multi- decades long crescendo, filled with people telling the regime critics to stop overreacting. by its nature, the only moment you can call out fascist rhetoric is before fascism is fully up and running.
