This is such an important agreement as we build the Canadian defence industry.
The investments we are/will be making to create a sovereign defence supply chain will also create goods we can export.
It also strengthens our ties with the countries we may want to buy from.
PM Carney: Canada is now the first non-European country to be granted a membership in SAFE. This is a gamechanger program that means Canada can rearm our Canadian Armed Forces members more effectively and scale up our defence industries with more contracts overseas.

There are many reasons why some Jewish orgs abandoning coalitional allies is short-sighted. I'll add one more: when bigotry against other groups seeps into the mainstream, it inevitably bolsters antisemitism too. If you care about antisemitism, you can't afford NOT to care about other bigotries.

Mamma mia. I missed this paper when it came out a couple of weeks ago, but it found Trump's "tariffs led to both rapid and gradual retail price increases." The tariffs are hammering both imports and domestic-made goods — the opposite of what Trump says he wants.
